As part of its aggressive expansion into Defence & Aerospace, the company aims to become the preferred sourcing partner for DPSUs, OEMs, and Tier-1 suppliers, offering digital traceability, agile sourcing, and material specialization.
Role Summary
The Supply Chain Lead – Defence & Aerospace will drive the company's entry and growth in the D&A vertical by leading:
Strategic sourcing of specialised materialsDefence & private sector tendering and contractingEnd-to-end supply chain operationsRevenue and margin improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing high-grade materials (Titanium, Inconel, Aluminium Alloys, etc.) compliant with AS9100, NADCAP, MIL-SPECDrive business development and bidding on GeM, CPPP, and with DPSUs (HAL, BEL, DRDO, etc.)Build strategic partnerships with private OEMs and Tier-1sManage full tender lifecycle: RFPs, submissions, negotiations, complianceDrive contract wins and P&L growth via strategic pricing and sourcingOversee supply chain operations: vendor development, logistics, QA, warehousingDevelop SOPs for scaling D&A operations on Metalbook's digital platform
Qualifications
Graduate/Postgraduate with 8–15 years in supply chain; 5+ in Defence & AerospaceHands-on with GeM, CPPP, and government procurement processesProven in tendering, contract negotiation, P&L ownershipExperience with DPSUs and private sector defence manufacturingFamiliarity with export-import regulations, customs compliance
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of D&A materials: Titanium, Inconel, Carbon Fibre, etc.Strong commercial acumen and ERP/digital tools exposureMilitary veterans with procurement & commercial experience welcome
