Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Experience Required: [10+ Years]

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management, contracts, and commercial aspects of large-scale projects. The role involves preparing estimates, managing budgets, handling tendering processes, monitoring project costs, and ensuring compliance with contractual and financial requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both pre-contract and post-contract functions, with exposure to international and national projects across sectors such as Infrastructure, Commercial, Residential, Industrial, and Institutional developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, rate analysis, and tender documentation.
  • Manage tendering, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial control.
  • Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and risk analysis.
  • Certify contractor bills, variations, and claims.
  • Prepare MIS reports, cost reports, and financial statements for management.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Mentor junior QS staff and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying (Master's preferred).
  • Professional certifications (RICS, MRICS, AIQS, ICES, etc.) desirable.
  • 8–15 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost management, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in QS tools/software (e.g., CostX, Candy, MS Excel, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, NEC, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or international projects.
  • Exposure to BIM-based quantity take-offs and digital QS tools.
