Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced
Quantity Surveyor & Planning Manager
who will be responsible for managing project quantities, planning schedules, contractor coordination, and cost control. The role requires strong expertise in ERP systems, contractor sourcing, work order management, and project planning to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of construction projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Quantity Surveying & Cost Management

  • Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates from drawings.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures stay within budget.
  • Evaluate and certify contractor bills based on site measurements.

  • Handle variation orders, extra items, and final account settlements.

  • Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and manage project planning schedules and timelines.

  • Prepare bar charts, manpower plans, and material schedules.
  • Track progress and identify delays with corrective action plans.

  • Update schedules regularly and report progress to management.

  • ERP Handling

  • Ensure all project data is accurately entered and maintained in the ERP system.

  • Manage work orders, contractor details, material tracking, and billing through ERP.

  • Generate reports for project performance and cost analysis.

  • Contractor Management & Sourcing

  • Source and evaluate contractors and vendors based on project requirements.

  • Negotiate terms, rates, and timelines with contractors.
  • Issue and manage contractor work orders and agreements.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with project standards.

  • Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and finance teams.

  • Attend project review meetings and provide planning updates.
  • Prepare project reports, cost summaries, and MIS reports for management.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying, BOQ & Estimation
  • Expertise in Planning & Scheduling for construction projects
  • Experience in ERP systems for construction management
  • Ability to issue and manage contractor work orders
  • Strong negotiation and contractor sourcing skills
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tight timelines

Candidate Profile

  • BE Civil Engineering
  • 8–10 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor / Planning Manager
  • Experience in residential / commercial / infrastructure projects preferred
  • Immediate joiners will be given priority
