Senior Accountant _ E-commerce

Reports to: Founder, Iera Living

Role Overview

Were seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead end-to-end accounting, reporting, and compliance at Iera Living. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in accounting principles, hands-on experience with e-commerce platform reconciliations (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify), and a process-driven mindset. Youll be responsible for overseeing accounting operations and managing one team member focused on data entry and transactional support.Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage daily accounting in Zoho Books; record and reconcile all financial transactions including bank, vendor, customer, and e-commerce channels (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.Track channel-wise profitability and key financial metrics.

  • Manage SKU-level costing and inventory valuation in coordination with operations.

  • E-commerce Reconciliation

  • Handle marketplace and payment gateway reconciliations, returns/refunds, and settlements.

  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition and resolve payout discrepancies.

  • Payables, Receivables & Compliance

  • Oversee vendor payments and ensure timely reconciliation.

  • Track customer and platform settlements, ensuring prompt collection and accounting.

  • Work with internal teams to maintain clear communication on billing, inventory, and logistics-related financials.

  • Process & Control

  • Strengthen internal controls, cash flow tracking, and reporting efficiency.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and system improvements.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in e-commerce accounting (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books and advanced Excel
  • Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and financial compliance
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in a D2C or startup environment preferred

Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / MBA (Finance) or equivalent4-5 years of experience, with 2-3 years in e-commerce or D2C setup
