What You'll Do

As Manager Direct Taxation, you will ensure effective management of all Direct Tax matters including compliance, reporting, audits, and strategic planning in line with the Income Tax Act and other applicable regulations, ensuring minimum tax risk and optimal tax efficiency for the organization.

Among Your Responsibilities, You Will

1. Direct Tax Compliance

Preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, TDS returns, advance tax computations, and other direct tax-related filings.

Review of tax computations and ensuring correct treatment of income, expenses, and deductions.

Ensuring timely remittance of taxes and accurate reconciliation of tax ledgers.

2. Tax Audit & Assessments

Preparation and review of Tax Audit Report (Form 3CD) and related annexures.

Liaison with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax consultants for audit-related matters.

Represent the company before tax authorities during assessments, appeals, and inquiries.

3. Advisory & Tax Planning

Provide advisory on direct tax implications for various business transactions, agreements, and capital investments.

Evaluate the impact of amendments to the Income Tax Act and ensure proactive compliance.

Support management in designing tax-efficient business structures and policies.

4. Transfer Pricing (if applicable)

Assist in preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation and coordination with consultants.

Ensure filing of Form 3CEB and related compliance.

5. Reporting & MIS

Maintain updated tax records, schedules, and trackers for ongoing assessments and litigations.

Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on tax positions, provisions, and refunds.

Support in financial closing activities for provisioning and disclosures related to income tax.

What You'll Bring

  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience.

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.

  • Skills & Traits

  • Strong understanding of Indian direct tax laws and recent amendments.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and drafting ability.
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external consultants.
  • High attention to detail and deadline-oriented approach.
