About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented
Procurement Manager
to lead our procurement operations for
solar energy projects
at our Corporate Office in
Gurugram
. The ideal candidate will bring
6-12 years of experience
, with a strong focus on
strategic sourcing, vendor development
, and
procurement of solar equipment and services
. You will play a critical role in ensuring
cost efficiency, quality compliance
, and
timely delivery
of materials essential for our solar EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Continuously evaluate sourcing opportunities to
  reduce costs
  ,
  enhance quality
  , and
  ensure the timely availability
  of solar-related components.

Vendor Management & Development

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for
  solar modules, inverters, BoS components
  (structures, cables, etc.).
• Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure
  favorable pricing, credit terms
  , and
  delivery commitments
  .

Contract & Commercial Management

• Draft, review, and finalize
  purchase agreements and vendor contracts
  .
• Ensure adherence to
  commercial terms
  ,
  payment schedules
  , and all
  contractual obligations
  .

Cost Optimization & Benchmarking

• Drive
  cost reduction initiatives
  through negotiations, volume consolidation, and alternate sourcing.
• Benchmark procurement costs with
  market trends
  to maintain price competitiveness.

Quality & Compliance Assurance

• Work with quality teams to ensure vendor compliance with
  technical specifications
  and
  industry standards
  (MNRE, IEC, etc.).
• Conduct
  supplier audits
  and resolve non-conformances or quality issues.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with
  engineering, project, logistics, and finance
  teams for smooth procurement planning and execution.
• Ensure
  inventory alignment
  and timely delivery of materials to project sites.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Define and track key procurement KPIs:
  cost savings, supplier delivery performance, lead times
  , and
  vendor scorecards
  .
• Present regular procurement performance reports to
  senior management
  .

Risk Management

• Identify procurement risks such as
  price volatility, supply chain disruptions
  , or
  import dependencies
  .
• Develop mitigation plans, including
  alternate vendors
  and
  long-term procurement agreements
  .

Key Skills & Competencies

• In-depth understanding of
  solar industry procurement
  : modules, inverters, BoS components, etc.
• Strong
  negotiation
  ,
  contract management
  , and
  vendor development
  skills
• Familiarity with
  domestic and international solar supply chains
• Hands-on experience with
  ERP systems
  like SAP, Oracle, or other procurement tools
• Analytical approach to tracking
  cost trends
  ,
  supplier performance

  market benchmarking
• Excellent communication, coordination, and
  cross-functional collaboration
  skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
  in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
• Mandatory: 6-12 years of procurement experience, with 4-5 years in the solar/renewable energy industry
• Exposure to
  large-scale solar EPC projects
  will be considered a strong advantage
