About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Sales Manager (Channel Sales) to drive growth in the Mumbai region. The role involves channel partner management, GeM portal sales (Govt. eMarketplace), and B2B business development.

This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Regional Manager BIS Channel West.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Planning & Channel Development:

  • Develop sales plans and channel blueprints for market reach, expansion, and distributor/retailer appointment.
  • Set and review targets for distributors, ensuring business growth.
  • Conduct market visits to partners, retailers, and stores to track sales performance and resolve issues.
  • Support and motivate partners by setting shared goals and programs.

Channel & B2B Sales:

  • Build and manage a strong network of channel partners to increase market coverage.
  • Drive B2B funnel management, account mapping (A4, A3 & Scanners Govt. & Commercial).
  • Manage sales forecasting and reporting using data analysis.
  • Exposure to Government e-Marketplace (GeM) is mandatory.

Marketing & Promotions:

  • Implement BTL marketing activities, schemes, and collaterals for lead generation.
  • Collaborate with product training teams to build partner salesforce competencies.
  • Track competitor activities and provide timely market insights.

Reporting:

  • Report monthly plans, achievements, and partner feedback.
  • Ensure smooth communication and resolution of distribution/marketing issues.

Must-Have Criteria (Checklist):

Strong experience in Channel Sales (70%) & exposure to GeM portal (30%)

Experience in onboarding and managing channel partners

Knowledge of Mumbai territory and local channel ecosystem

Excellent communication & influencing skills

Strong customer focus and relationship management

Qualifications:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in channel sales (IT Hardware / OA industry preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint
