Role & responsibilities

Operation, Maintenance Control and Monitoring:

1. Execute & carry out the operation and maintenance of equipments and facility catering to Process, HVAC, ETP and Utility equipment.

2. Preforming the planned preventive maintenance activity of Process, HVAC, ETP and Utility Equipments as per SOP and approved schedule.

3. Provide quality service system such as, potable water, Steam, compressed air, Vacuum etc.

4. Maintain and monitor the HVAC and Utility system.

5. Attend the breakdown of machineries on time to have less impact on Quality and production and hand over on time in shift.

6. Reviewing contemporaneous (on time) document entries in daily logbooks of Utility Equipments, HVAC, Preventive maintenance Records, etc

7. Performing contemporaneous (on time) document entries in daily logbooks of Utility Equipments, HVAC, Preventive maintenance Records, etc

8. Providing the engineering support like modification / upgradation / changes required for the new product. Adhering the timelines for the completion as per target.

9. Ensuring proper housekeeping and upkeep of Engineering areas (Service or Utility areas, Calibration Room, Technical areas, Hoist Machine rooms, Plant terrace, etc.)

10. Identifying new technologies and vendor development for the system improvement and ease of operation and maintenance.

11. Maintaining the optimized inventory in Engineering stores. Ensuring the availability of Critical spares required to avoid major production delay.

12. Inspecting and reviewing of material received at engineering stores for quality parameters as per Purchase order. Initiating the request for maintaining the required inventory with coding in place for regular consumables items.

13. Inspection of material inventory at engineering stores as per Purchase order. Initiating the request for maintaining the required inventory with coding in place for regular consumables items.

14. Estimating the cost for maintenance, major modification, and project activities.

15. Planning and Co-ordinating with contractors and vendors for the scheduling of maintenance activities. Ensuring close supervision while execution of critical task for maintaining the quality and safety standards.

16. Co-ordinating with concerned department in charges for timely execution of engineering activities. Tracking to be done for all the activities as per plan.

17. Ensuring on-line bill processing against the availed services for the timely payment to vendor.

18. Ensuring the statutory compliance related to process and utility equipments, HVAC, and facility.

19. Initiation of Purchase requisition for material and service procurement. Co-ordinating with purchase and vendor for clearing technical queries. Tracking of PR till the release of PO.

20. Follow the cost approval flow before executing job.

21. Updating status labelling of equipments, instruments and colour coding of Solvent lines, Utility lines etc.

22. Adhere to general overview of calibration.

23. Follow-up with external vendors, OEMs etc.

GMP:

1. Update engineering SOPs, Layouts, and other related documents along with quality assurance.

2. Following of appropriate HVAC and Utility validations, calibrations and qualification of all equipment are execution, recorded and reports are made available.

3. Ensuring and maintaining the facility & equipments for all audit readiness. Monitoring and tracking of all the QMS tasks like, CR action, CAPA actions, deviations for timely closure.

4. Follow the GxP procedures.

5. Following and adhering to the current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) practices for making continual improvement in Quality system.

6. Following departmental standard operating procedures (SOP) & protocols and providing suggestions for simplification and improvements.

7. Operating software system like DCS system, PLC HMI etc. based on roles and rights provided in the application.

QMS:

1. Operating software systems like SAP, Quality Management System, track wise system, and Cipdox software, LMS software etc. based on roles and rights provided in the application.

2. Reporting of non-conformances and supporting. Ensuring the timely completion of investigation with root cause analysis and appropriate CAPA in place.

EHS:

1. Following work authorization permit system & execute the work.

2. Making sure that personnel health, hygiene, and organisation practices are followed.

3. Preparing and implementing the risk analysis of non-routine maintenance activities, system, equipment and process.

4. Monitoring safely operation of machine as per SOP with maximum efficiency

5. Adhere to general electrical safety.

6. Reviewing and completing the compliance of safety observations on daily basis. Critical observations should be addressed immediately.

7. Monitoring plant hygiene and adherence to Health safety and environment policy of the organisation.

Training:

1. Conducting trainings to subordinates & Contractors for their development and improvement in skills and knowledge.

Administrative:

1. Identify areas of wastage.

2. Co-ordinates with contractors and sub-contractors for scheduling of work.

3. Supervision and Motivation of contract personnel

EnMS:

1. Implementation of Energy Saving Measures at unit level. Adhering to Energy Management System (EnMS) SOPs and related documents.

Others:

1. Performing any other assignment allocated, after ensuring appropriate training is in place.

2. Execution of plant shutdown activity.

3. Logging of daily activities in logbook and discussion with Department Head.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E/B.Tech Mechanical with minimum 4+ years of experience in API plant maintenance & documentation
