Job Summary:

Were seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer responsible for preparing, testing, and deploying applications across enterprise environments. This role involves managing automated deployments, troubleshooting packaging issues, and ensuring end-user applications meet security, compliance, and performance standards. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using tools like InstallShield, SCCM/MCM, and ManageEngine Endpoint Central to drive efficient software rollout and system consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and customize application packages using InstallShield, MSI, and scripting tools

Manage deployment lifecycle via SCCM, MCM, or ManageEngine, including task sequences, software updates, and remote installations

Validate and test packages in staging and production environments to ensure functionality and compatibility

Troubleshoot packaging errors, deployment failures, and system conflicts

Maintain and optimize application deployment workflows with rollback and remediation plans

Document package creation procedures, version history, and deployment logs

Coordinate with software vendors and internal teams for packaging requirements and updates

Enforce security baselines and ensure compliance with organizational policies

Support OS imaging, driver injection, and endpoint provisioning activities

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in InstallShield, MSI packaging, and PowerShell/VB scripting

Hands-on experience with SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MCM), or ManageEngine

Knowledge of Windows OS architecture, registry management, and software dependencies

Understanding of application lifecycle management and automation practices

Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Excellent documentation and collaboration skills
