Job Title: Head Finance and Accounts South Region

Location: Perundurai

Experience Required: 5 to 6 years preferably in manufacturing / Agri / food processing industry

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory

Role Overview:

The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance, accounts, and audit functions at the Regional level. The role involves acting as the financial controller for the plant operations, ensuring financial discipline, cost control, compliance, and internal audit readiness. The incumbent will work closely with the Regional Head and CFO to provide timely, accurate, and transparent financial insights for decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Control & Reporting

    Manage day-to-day accounting, book-keeping, and monthly closure of accounts for the plant.

    Prepare and report periodic MIS, variance analysis, and cost reports to Corporate Finance.

    Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting as per company policies and accounting standards.

    Support preparation of budgets, forecasts, and annual operating plans.

    2. Costing & Budgetary Control

    Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, and overheads.

    Conduct cost variance analysis against standards and recommend corrective actions.

    Participate in plant performance reviews and help drive cost optimization initiatives.

    3. Internal Controls & Audit

    Implement and monitor internal control systems and ensure adherence to financial policies and SOPs.

    Act as the internal auditor for the plant, ensuring zero non-compliance in financial, statutory, and operational areas.

Liaise with statutory auditors and internal audit teams, ensuring timely closure of audit queries.

4. Compliance & Statutory Management

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory regulations.

Manage plant-level statutory records, returns, and submissions in coordination with Corporate Accounts.

Maintain fixed asset records and ensure timely capitalization and verification.

5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Manage plant cash flow, vendor payments, and fund utilization efficiently.

Monitor receivables, advances, and petty cash management.

Coordinate with banks for plant-related financial transactions.

6. Business Partnering & Support

Collaborate with the Operations, Procurement, HR, and Maintenance teams to ensure financial prudence in all activities.

Provide financial insights for decision-making on capital expenditure, inventory management, and process efficiency.

Support the regional management team as a financial advisor and controller.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards , costing, and plant finance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.

Good knowledge of ERP systems.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities at a plant location.

Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.

Functionally to: CFO at Corporate

Administratively to: Regional Business Head

Commensurate with experience and industry standards
