Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled L2 IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Firewalls, NAS, Windows Servers (AD/DC), Cisco Switches/Routers, and overall IT infrastructure management. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be prepared to support critical systems during emergencies, including after hours if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Firewall Management:

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls (Sophos, Fortinet, SonicWall, Palo Alto, etc.)
  • Maintain security policies, NAT rules, VPNs (Site-to-Site and Remote Access)

NAS Administration:

  • Set up, manage, and maintain Network Attached Storage systems (QNAP, Synology, etc.)
  • Configure user access, permissions, and ensure data integrity and backups

Windows Server Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022)
  • Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, Domain Controllers (DC)
  • Troubleshoot user authentication, login issues, and AD replication

Cisco Network Devices:

  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
  • Implement VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), trucking, and port security
  • Maintain network diagrams and documentation

VoIP & Telephony Systems:

  • Support VoIP and telephony platforms like Avaya IP Office / Cisco Unified Communications / 3CX / Grand stream etc.
  • Configure SIP trunks, extension mappings, IVRs, ring groups, voicemail, and call flow
  • Troubleshoot VoIP-related issues: call drops, registration failures, QoS issues

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

  • Use tools like PRTG, Nagios, or SolarWinds for infrastructure monitoring
  • Respond promptly to network/system alerts and perform root cause analysis

Emergency Support:

  • Be available 24x7 for critical support, emergencies, and planned maintenance windows
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of configurations, SOPs, and change logs

Communication:

  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution and project implementation
  • Provide clear updates to stakeholders in a timely and professional manner

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP
  • Microsoft MCSA/MCSE (Windows Server)
  • Fortinet NSE 7 or NSE 8
  • firewall certifications

Experience: 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in infrastructure and network support

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking
  • Hands-on experience with managing firewall rules, VPN tunnels, and access policies
  • Experience managing Active Directory & GPOs
  • Familiarity with backup solutions and disaster recovery planning

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Team player with a problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies with calmness and precision

Working Conditions:

  • May require working outside of regular hours for critical updates, troubleshooting, or emergencies
  • On-call availability required as per the rotation schedule
