Role Overview

We are looking for a Strategic Bookkeeper with strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience working with global clients. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping — you will act as a financial partner to our clients, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting financial strategy, and helping streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP.

  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Support client CFOs with variance analysis and strategic insights.
  • Assist in process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Celeste team to deliver high-quality client experiences.

Requirements

Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience under US GAAP.

  • Strong knowledge of 
    account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
    .
  • Hands-on experience with one or more accounting platforms:
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Xero
  • Sage Intacct
     (or similar mid-market systems).
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with global teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

Prior experience working with CFO advisory firms, SaaS, eCommerce, or service-based businesses.

  • Familiarity with workflow tools (Ramp, Dext, Gusto, , Hubdoc, etc.).
