Job Title: Sr Executive - HR (Plant)
Function: HR & Admin
Location: Factory Daman & Vapi
Reporting to: Sr Manager HR (Plant)
A. Position OBJECTIVE
The Senior Executive HR (Plant) will be responsible for managing the complete HR lifecycle for plant operations, covering manpower planning, statutory compliance, employee relations, and HR administration. The role demands strong knowledge of labor laws, the ability to manage blue-collar and white-collar employees, and a proactive approach to building a positive and compliant workplace environment.
B. KEY Position Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Drive recruitment for all plant-level roles, ensuring timely hiring to meet operational requirements.
- Plan and forecast manpower requirements in collaboration with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Manage sourcing, shortlisting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain and update manpower strength reports and dashboards.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a first-level counselor for resolving employee grievances and disputes.
- Foster healthy employee management relations and ensure discipline within the plant premises.
- Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives, welfare measures, and cultural programs.
- Conduct periodic employee connect sessions and feedback forums to identify workplace issues.
HR Operations & Administration
- Oversee payroll processing, leave & attendance management, and shift scheduling.
- Ensure accuracy of HRIS data, employee master records, and attendance registers.
- Manage plant-level HR documentation, including appointment letters, confirmations, transfers, and separations.
- Provide HR support during inspections, audits, and cross-functional reviews.
Statutory Compliance & Factory Audits
- Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, factory act, wage laws, and statutory regulations.
- Manage compliances related to PF, ESI, Gratuity, Professional Tax, Income Tax, etc.
- Maintain statutory registers (Accident Register, Maternity Register, Register of Fines, Damages & Losses, etc.).
- Prepare and submit reports to government authorities and ensure timely returns.
- Coordinate with auditors, prepare closure evidence, and manage non-conformities (NCs) during internal & external audits.
- Track and implement changes in statutory regulations and labor laws.
Policy Implementation
- Ensure company HR policies are communicated effectively and adhered to at the plant.
- Standardize HR processes in line with corporate guidelines while adapting to plant-level needs.
- Provide guidance to employees and line managers on policy interpretation.
Training & Development
- Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) for plant employees.
- Design and implement technical, behavioral, and compliance training programs.
- Maintain training calendars, feedback trackers, and legal testing/renewal records.
- Liaise with external trainers, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely program delivery.
- Support statutory committee meetings (Safety Committee, POSH Committee, etc.) and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
Performance Management
- Facilitate the Performance Management System (PMS) process across the plant.
- Support in defining Key Result Areas (KRAs) and cascading goals.
- Assist managers in conducting appraisals, reviews, and performance improvement plans.
- Track progress on performance ratings, promotions, and increment cycles.
Contract Labour Management
- Monitor and manage contract labor deployment in compliance with labour laws.
- Verify contractor documentation (licenses, registers, wage records, ESI/PF compliance).
- Conduct contractor audits and ensure adherence to statutory and company requirements.
- Manage timely renewal of contracts, agreements, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and insurance policies.
- Build and sustain healthy relationships with contractors and vendors.
C. Qualifications and Experience
Qualification
Essential: Graduate (BE/B. Com/BMS/BBA)
Preferred: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources
Experience
4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Plant HR (Blue & White-collar workforce)
