Job Description :Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and implement database schemas, tables, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data retrieval, manipulation, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration and migration.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and database configuration.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all database systems.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including user roles, permissions, and data encryption.
• Monitor database performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with application development teams to design and implement efficient database interactions.
• Work with data analysts to understand their data requirements and provide necessary database support.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data models, schema diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Participate in database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in database technologies and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on SQL code.
• Assist in the development and implementation of data backup and recovery strategies.
• Potentially work with NoSQL databases depending on project requirements.

Technical Skills :

• SQL Proficiency : Excellent command of SQL (Structured Query Language) with the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Database Systems : Strong working knowledge of at least one major relational database management system (RDBMS) such as :1.

MySQL2. PostgreSQL3. Microsoft SQL Server4. Oracle Database

• Data Modeling : Experience in designing and implementing logical and physical data models.
• Database Design : Solid understanding of database design principles, normalization, and denormalization techniques.
• Performance Tuning : Proven ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries and database performance.
• ETL Processes : Experience in developing and implementing ETL processes using tools or scripting languages.
• Data Integrity and Security : Understanding of data integrity constraints and database security best practices.
• Scripting Languages : Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Shell scripting for automation tasks is a plus.
• Database Tools : Proficiency in using database management and development tools specific to the chosen RDBMS.Preferred Skills :
• Experience with cloud-based database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Familiarity with database administration tasks such as backups, restores, and user management.
• Experience with database replication and high availability solutions.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
• Experience with version control systems for database scripts (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and optimizing SQL databases.
• A strong understanding of relational database concepts and principles.
• Relevant certifications in database technologies are a plus.
