Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize fleet performance. Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and warehouse teams for smooth operations.Vendor & Fleet Coordination: Liaise with transport vendors for vehicle availability, service quality, and contract compliance. Maintain records of fleet maintenance, fuel usage, and driver performance.Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to transport regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Conduct regular audits and inspections of vehicles and documentation.Cost Control & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting and cost analysis for transport operations. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.Reporting & Documentation: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly transport reports and dashboards. Maintain accurate records of shipments, delays, incidents, and resolutions.Team Support: Support the Transport Manager in strategic planning and execution.
