Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings for fabrication, assembly, and project execution. This role plays a key part in converting engineering concepts into precise manufacturable designs for our in-house production and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear & accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, fabrication drawings, & assembly drawings for evaporators, ATFDs, heat exchangers, tanks, structures, & piping skids.
  • Develop and revise P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) based on engineering inputs.
  • Create detailed 2D layouts and 3D models of equipment, components, and plant layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate with design engineers and project teams to understand technical requirements and design intent.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, quality norms, and relevant industry codes.
  • Prepare and update BOM and material lists for procurement and fabrication.
  • Maintain proper document control, including drawing revisions, version history, & library updates.
  • Review, check, and verify drawings for completeness, dimensions, and accuracy before release.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

  • Diploma / ITI / equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Draftsman in manufacturing/fabrication industry.
  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting practices, GD&T, and standard drafting symbols.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specs, P&IDs, and layouts.
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

Preferred (Added Advantage):

  • Experience drafting pressure vessels, heat exchangers, ATFDs, or similar process equipment.
  • Familiarity with drafting and fabrication standards.
