At Contour Education, we're looking for a Mathematics Content Developer who thrives on designing and creating high-quality learning material that sets new standards of clarity and impact. So far, our academic teams have refined existing resources - now we're ready to create fresh, original content aligned to our learning model.
This role is ideal for someone who loves building from scratch, has a strong grasp of mathematics, and wants to shape how students experience the subject through high-quality, exam-aligned content.

What You'll Do
This is not a repetitive or editing-only role - you'll be the hands-on creator and owner of mathematics content. You'll directly shape how our resources are designed, structured, and experienced by students.
Your responsibilities include:
- Create original, high-quality mathematics content for Grades 9 - 12, including practice exams, booklets, assignments, and assessments.
- Define the structure and format of resources to ensure clarity, logical progression, and alignment with student learning needs.
- Write step-by-step, student-friendly solutions that mirror a tutor's voice - helping students understand not just the answers, but the reasoning behind them.
- Align with syllabus requirements for the VCE and Pre-VCE curricula, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and curriculum fit.
- Collaborate with our Australia-based academic team to understand requirements and align materials with learning objectives.
- Review and refine content regularly to maintain clarity, precision, and academic rigor.
- Contribute to scalable content processes, suggesting improvements in question design, structure, and delivery.
Requirements
What We're Looking For

Must - Haves
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics.
- 1-3 years of experience in mathematics content development.
- Strong conceptual understanding across key mathematics domains.
- Familiarity with curriculum design and syllabus alignment (preferably VCE Mathematics).
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively.
Nice - to - Haves
- Prior experience in academic writing, booklets, or assessment development.
- Exposure to EdTech or international curriculum frameworks.
- Openness to leadership roles or cross-functional collaboration.
- Interest in instructional design or educational technology.
