Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) for one of our ongoing industrial projects in Mundra, Gujarat. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in storage tanks, piping, steel structures, and overall project supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all project engineering activities related to mechanical construction, including tanks, piping, steel structures, cold insulation, and cladding.
  • Interface effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of the project.
  • Review and provide inputs on engineering drawings, technical documents, and material submittals.
  • Prepare and manage method statements, project schedules, documentation, and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines.
  • Ensure all fabrication and erection works conform to project specifications and applicable codes.

Technical Expertise Required

  • Standards and Codes:
  • API 650, API 653, AWWA D-100, AWWA D-102
  • ASME Section VIII Div. 1, 2 & 3
  • ASME Section V and Section IX
  • ASME Section II (Part A, B, C)
  • ASME B31.1 and B31.3
  • Core Competencies:
  • Mechanical design and execution of storage tanks and piping systems
  • Structural steel fabrication and erection
  • Cold insulation and cladding installations
  • Project scheduling, estimation, and cost control
  • Documentation and liaison with quality, safety, and procurement departments

  • Strong leadership and communication skills for managing clients and subcontractors.
  • Proven ability in project planning, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Thorough understanding of industry codes and quality standards.
  • Must be capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and ensuring timely completion of project deliverables.
