Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager in Procurement to join our team, particularly for our greenfield projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within an engineering context, emphasizing integrity, ownership, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee procurement activities for greenfield engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to secure the best possible terms.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to identify procurement needs and develop strategies that support project objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Monitor market trends and conduct supplier evaluations to enhance sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Lead and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of integrity and collaboration within the team.
  • Address any procurement-related issues or disputes promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in greenfield engineering projects.
  • Proven track record of strong negotiation and compliance skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
