Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager in Procurement to join our team, particularly for our greenfield projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within an engineering context, emphasizing integrity, ownership, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement activities for greenfield engineering projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to secure the best possible terms.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to identify procurement needs and develop strategies that support project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
- Monitor market trends and conduct supplier evaluations to enhance sourcing strategies.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Lead and mentor junior procurement staff, fostering a culture of integrity and collaboration within the team.
- Address any procurement-related issues or disputes promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement, preferably in greenfield engineering projects.
- Proven track record of strong negotiation and compliance skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
