Exciting Leadership Opportunity – Legal Head (Real Estate) | Indian multinational conglomerate | Mumbai

Role Highlights:
  • Title Due Diligence: Conduct thorough title verification for properties, analyzing deeds, encumbrance certificates, and revenue records, while coordinating with legal advisors and authorities to identify risks and ensure clear ownership.
  • Land Acquisitions: Draft and negotiate contracts (sale deeds, leases, JDAs, PoAs), ensure compliance with property laws, and perform due diligence on zoning, land use, and regulatory approvals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with authorities for project approvals and permits, ensuring adherence to RERA and other relevant regulations.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage property disputes through litigation or arbitration with external counsel, providing legal opinions and mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder and Documentation Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal concerns, maintain accurate transaction records, and streamline documentation and compliance processes..
Ideal Candidate:
  • 12-15 years of experience in real estate law. The ideal candidate should come from law firms and have some in-house experience.
  • Strong background in legal compliance, property transactions, land acquisition, litigation, and regulatory matters related to real estate.
  • The role requires leadership in managing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business objectives
