An Endpoint Management Team Leader is responsible for managing and improving an organization's end-user computing environment by leading a team of engineers, ensuring the security and efficient management of devices, and overseeing strategy for deployment and support. Key duties include mentoring staff, managing endpoint security and lifecycle, developing policies, and acting as an escalation point for technical issues related to devices like desktops, laptops, and mobile phones.

Leadership and team management

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development support to the endpoint management team.
  • Lead and delegate daily operations, while also contributing hands-on to technical tasks.
  • Ensure the team follows best practices and company values.

Technical and strategic responsibilities

  • Oversee the configuration, deployment, and management of all endpoint devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, such as antivirus software and threat detection tools, and ensure devices comply with security policies.
  • Design and manage software distribution and patching processes, including testing and validating updates before release.
  • Develop and maintain endpoint management policies and procedures to align with organizational goals and security requirements.
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex end-user computing issues.

Collaboration and communication

  • Collaborate with other IT and security teams to integrate endpoint management with company-wide strategies.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and users, potentially handling user support and project management meetings.
  • Provide strategic input on the design and architecture of the endpoint management environment.
