Key Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance and Monitoring:

o Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and applications.

o Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

o Conduct regular system health checks and updates.

2. Network Administration:

o Configure and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and VPN connections.

o Manage firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure secure and stable network connectivity.

o Monitor network traffic and address connectivity issues promptly.

3. User Support:

o Provide technical support to users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.

o Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies.

o Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up user accounts and devices.

4. Backup and Recovery:

o Develop and maintain backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.

o Perform regular backups and restore operations when necessary.

5. Security Management:

o Implement and maintain IT security policies and protocols to safeguard company data.

o Monitor for security breaches and vulnerabilities, applying updates and patches as needed.

o Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

o Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and improvements.

7. Continuous Improvement:

o Research and recommend upgrades, tools, and technologies to enhance system performance and reliability.

o Collaborate with other teams to support IT projects and business objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS) and server management.

Familiarity with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, and networking protocols.

Understanding of IT security principles and best practices.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).

Familiarity with database management and storage solutions.
