Job Description: Salesforce QA Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Salesforce QA Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 2+ years testing Salesforce applications (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or other products). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of Salesforce solutions through manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and user stories to design test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform manual and automated testing for Salesforce applications, customizations, and integrations.
  • Validate Salesforce configuration, custom objects, workflows, flows, and Apex classes.
  • Conduct UI testing, functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing.
  • Work closely with developers, admins, and business analysts to resolve defects.
  • Implement test automation frameworks (Selenium, Provar, or other Salesforce-compatible tools).
  • Manage and track defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Salesforce environments.
  • Participate in UAT cycles and provide support to business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 4–5 years of QA experience, with minimum 2+ years in Salesforce testing.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Experience).
  • Proficiency in writing SQL/SOQL queries for test validation.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing and exposure to automation tools (Provar, Selenium, TestNG, QTP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Salesforce QA/Testing or ISTQB Certification preferred.

Good to Have

  • Experience with API testing (Postman, SOAP UI).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket).
  • Exposure to healthcare, finance, or telecom domains with Salesforce use cases.
