Description

Role- Business Strategist

Responsibilities:

  • Support the incubator/accelerator process with the Studio team, including activities such as workshops, value proposition development, market sizing, research and validation, business model design, and more. 
  • Assist in workshop activities, capturing insights, and creating workshop deliverables.
  • Gather and analyze customer/client feedback to test assumptions and identify risks related to customer value, business viability, usability, and feasibility.
  • Serve as a "do-er" alongside the Studio team, actively contributing to project execution.
  • Develop competitive landscapes and identify unique differentiators.
  • Create financial models. 
  • Support the team developing the business case for the new ventures. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in entrepreneurial environments including an innovation lab, studio, or early-stage startup
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university. 
  • Former founder or experience working in a startup environment; previous experience with using lean startup methodology and product lifecycle management preferred; prior experience running workshops using design thinking principles.
  • Strong project management skills including, particularly the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while working in a time-constrained environment; capability to work on different projects and deliver high quality deliverables in committed time frames with a high attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; design thinking and/or facilitation credentials; understand market segmentation and financial modeling for startups including top-down and bottom-up approaches to determining total addressable market, serviceable addressable market, and serviceable obtainable market.
