We're looking for a detail-oriented Asset Tracking / Detention Coordinator with strong skills in trailer tracking, detention management, and asset utilization monitoring.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in asset tracking, detention, or logistics operations.
  • Hands-on experience with trailer tracking systems and detention tracking portals.
  • Excellent coordination and follow-up skills with carriers, drivers, and internal dispatch teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in recording detention times and asset statuses.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email correspondence, and logistics tracking platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track trailer assets to ensure optimal utilization and timely movement.
  • Record and manage detention times across facilities, ensuring accurate tracking of free time and detention charges.
  • Communicate with carriers, shippers, and receivers to minimize detention and resolve delays.
  • Maintain updated logs of trailer locations, status, and usage.
  • Proactively follow up on inactive or idle trailers to reduce unnecessary detention costs.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch and Track & Trace teams to align asset data across all systems.
  • Generate regular reports on detention metrics and asset performance for management review.
