About Role:

We are seeking a skilled Laptop Hardware & Chip-Level Engineer who can handle end-to-end technical activities related to system hardware, component testing, and board-level repair.

The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues across laptops and notebooks of various brands at both component and motherboard levels, ensuring each device meets functional and performance standards before release.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct hardware fault diagnosis at the component and motherboard levels for laptops and related devices.


• Perform replacement and calibration of hardware components such as RAM, SSDs, batteries, displays, keyboards, and charging ports.


• Execute chip-level repair work, including:


• Tracing power and signal lines


• Identifying and replacing faulty ICs, MOSFETs, capacitors, and connectors
• Handling short-circuit detection and repair


• Power management and charging circuit troubleshooting


• Use soldering, desoldering, and rework equipment (hot air gun, soldering station, microscope) to perform precise board-level work.


• Maintain and interpret schematic diagrams and use measuring instruments like multimeters, DC power supplies, and oscilloscopes for diagnosis.


• Perform final QA testing to ensure full device functionality and stability post-repair.


• Maintain detailed service records and part usage logs for every device handled.


• Collaborate closely with the testing and quality verification team to ensure consistency in performance and reliability.

Skills & Qualifications:


• Proven 2+ years of experience in chip-level and motherboard repair of laptops (multi-brand preferred).


• Strong understanding of electronic components, circuitry, and schematics.


• Familiarity with BGA rework, power IC diagnosis, signal tracing, and SMPS concepts.


• Proficient in using diagnostic instruments: multimeter, microscope, rework station, hot air gun, etc.


• Ability to identify and replace hardware components efficiently and accurately.


• Knowledge of electronic fault isolation and short-circuit detection.


• Diploma or certification in Electronics / Computer Hardware / Chip-Level Servicing preferred.
