Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer with deep expertise in automation using Python to lead the testing strategy for our Generative AI (GenAI) projects. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining automation test suites while ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards.

You will not be working specifically on RAGAs but will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of AI-driven solutions through robust automation frameworks. The role requires a combination of technical excellence, leadership, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall testing strategy for GenAI projects, ensuring high quality and reliability.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts in Python for functional, integration, and regression testing.
  • Define and implement test automation frameworks and best practices to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct code reviews of automation scripts and mentor junior QA team members.
  • Drive test planning, estimation, execution, and defect management processes.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Continuously enhance test scripts for scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with 3+ years in test automation using Python.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming, including API testing, data handling, and automation libraries.
  • Proven experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Hands-on experience with Pytest, Unittest, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide junior QA engineers.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to Generative AI concepts and testing approaches for AI-based systems.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman or automation for REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
