Job Context: : Hindalco is a leading producer of aluminium in the country. Extrusion process is very versatile & cost-effective metal forming process. The Silvassa Hindalco Extrusion section is new location and dedicated for B&C market which requires the low product cost with the utmost quality which is only possible with working of high-end press along with downstream process. Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters KRA1 Availability of Equipment:
Ensure, Analyze & monitor the availability equipment and implementation of schedules for Maintenance in reducing MTTR and increasing MTBF.
• Review, correlate and analyses PM feedback, equipment condition monitoring and breakdown data, patterns, subordinate feedback, and internal customer requirements, to identify the needs for change in maintenance schedules, service levels and concern areas.

• Performing the root cause analysis for breakdowns with inputs from subordinates to reduce downtime

• Direct and guide subordinates for non-routine, sporadic breakdowns and for improving equipment/plant performance.

• Identifying improvement areas, discussing with the responsible persons to identify the actions to be taken. Seek necessary resources from superiors and implementation from subordinates.

• Develop, establish, review and upgrade SMPs with approval of Maintenance Head

• Review and establish engineering standards for Mechanical maintenance.

• Guiding and directing subordinates to achieve higher equipment availability.

• Performing surprise checks to ensure adherence to SMPs.

• To ensure implementation of scheduled maintenance activities.

• To analyze parts failure and taking corrective action.

• Training and multi skilling of work force.

• To ensure implementation of corrective action for avoiding reoccurrence of break down.

• To interact and satisfy internal customers KRA Asset Lifecycle Management
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of plant equipment, from procurement to decommissioning. Implement proactive measures to extend equipment lifespan, evaluate replacement needs, and ensure timely upgrades, balancing performance with cost implications KRA2 Cost Management
• Auditing and control for the waste elimination.

• Analyze consumption pattern of spares and work towards increasing life of spares through modification

• Generation of kaizens and improvement ideas leading to productivity improvement and cost reduction.

• Monitor the trends of key Daily performances parameters like power consumption, stores and identify improvement opportunity KRA3 Cash
• Developing import substitute

• Inventory optimization

• To ensure implementation of the Project within Budget and Scheduled time frame KRA4 Customer centricity
• Meeting internal and external customer expectations, honoring service level agreements,

• Make existing processes as customer centric process.

• Improve customer satisfaction survey score by finding gaps and implementing action plan KRA5 People Development
• Develop skill matrix, evaluate and implement the gaps for improvement and upgrade as per process requirements.

• Implement reward and recognition systems to enhance the morale of the team.

• Ensure training of teams on RCA, use of problem-solving tools like why-why/Fishbone etc.

• Arranging individual coaching on specific aspects.

• Counseling and motivating for improvement in weak areas.

• Job rotation of subordinates, supervisors & workmen in consultation with superiors for multi-skilling KRA6 Safety
• To drive safety culture in the team. To ensure the team members record behaviors, unsafe acts during morning rounds and are discussed for improvement in daily morning meetings.

• Make/modify work procedure for safe work practices.

• Impart training for safe work procedures.

• Implement all standard practices and systems leading to safe acts.

• Participate in task force meeting and share improvement ideas KRA7 Sustainability and compliance
• Ensure daily meeting is standardized for flawless work management and continual improvement for sustainable practices of work management.

• Ensure simplification and standardization through Visual control, mistake proofing, reduction in stress and strain. To ensure the training of the concerned personnel on tools.

• Implement 5S in work areas.
