Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Legal Manager to lead and manage legal operations for our logistics business across Asia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate legal frameworks, contract law, and regulatory compliance, preferably within the logistics, courier, or shipping industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Indian legal and company law frameworks.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, lease deeds, work orders, and purchase orders.
  • Manage litigation including consumer court, arbitration, and recovery matters.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Handle customer claims and coordinate with insurance providers.
  • Monitor agreement expiries and ensure timely renewals.
  • Provide legal advisory support to management and business units.
  • Lead legal risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian Company Law, Contract Law, and relevant commercial laws.
  • Experience in handling legal matters in logistics, courier, shipping, or port operations.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with claims handling and insurance coordination.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation tools.
  • Fluent in English; additional regional languages are a plus.
