Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SUSE Linux Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), system administration, automation, patch management, and performance tuning. You will play a key role in maintaining, securing, and optimizing SUSE Linux systems across production and development environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) systems and related infrastructure.
  • Manage SUSE Manager (SUMA) for patching, system updates, and configuration management.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Automate administrative tasks using shell scripting or tools like Ansible.
  • Implement and maintain system security in line with company policies and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., DevOps, Cloud, Security) on infrastructure-related projects.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansions.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and procedures.
  • Support disaster recovery and backup strategies for Linux-based systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or Engineer, with a focus on SUSE Linux.
  • Strong knowledge of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), SUSE Manager, and related technologies.
  • Experience with systems monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Experience with automation/configuration tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Puppet.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, KVM) and/or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹50,000.00 per month
