Linux Engineer

Job Purpose:CBTS has an opening for a candidate with 7+ years’ experience managing Linux operating systems.Essential Technical Qualifications:Linux (RedHat 6/7/8, CentOS) required; additional Unix (Solaris/AIX) nice to haveGeneral Unix/Linux administration such as building and configuring VMs, software package installation, account maintenance, file permissions, system tuningOther Linux skills – Shell scripting, LVM, TCP/UDP, SNMP, DNS, NFS, ssh, sudo, syslogPerformance troubleshooting, managing system services, system hardeningBreak/FixRelease management and patchingSolid understanding of TCP/IP networking in the OSI model in LAN/WAN environmentsDetail oriented and self-motivated with good time management, communication, and presentation skills across varying organization levelsCustomer-facing experience when handling incident response.Solid experience working in VMware environmentsOther cloud administration (AWS, Azure, Google) experience nice to haveEducationMinimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Linux systems administrator or equivalent education or trainingDegree resulting in an associate or bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and relevant professional certifications.Familiar with ITIL and ticketing systemsExperience with enterprise systems for monitoringAny relevant certifications: RHCSA, RHCE, CCENT, VMware VCP, AWS, AzureInterested candidates with short notice or immediate joiners share your resume @ geetha.jeyabalan@cbts.comThanks,GeethaSenior Technical Recruiter
