Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and organized Facility Manager to oversee the operational and infrastructural management of our learning centers in Ernakulam. The role requires ensuring that all facilities operate seamlessly, maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment that supports both students and staff. The ideal candidate will manage facility operations, vendor coordination, and maintenance planning while upholding the organization's standards of efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage end-to-end facility operations across multiple centers in Ernakulam.
  • Ensure all classrooms, offices, and common areas are well-maintained, safe, and fully functional.
  • Lead and coordinate housekeeping, security, and maintenance teams for effective service delivery.
  • Oversee procurement and management of facility assets such as furniture, utilities, and operational supplies.
  • Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure.
  • Monitor building systems (electricity, internet, air-conditioning, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service contracts, and monitor performance against SLAs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and safety regulations, maintaining records for audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate logistical support for academic events, workshops, and student programs.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to maintenance, inventory, expenses, and facility utilization.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement operational improvements across facilities.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in any discipline (Engineering or Facilities Management preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in facility or operations management, preferably in the education or service sector.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with facility management systems/software preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of safety protocols, vendor management, and maintenance practices.
  • Willingness to travel locally as required.
