Job Description

Role: Regulatory & Grid compliance Designation: Senior Manager

Department: Projects and Construction

Qualification: B Tech. (EE Experience: 6 to 11 years

Location: HO, Delhi

Key Areas:
Regulatory support to BD & Project construction
Connectivity optimization & compliance with all Grid integration norms
Regulatory changes & its implication: by CEA, CERC, SERCs, CTU, STUs, and SEBs.
Environment Health & Safety support

 Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Strategy

•Monitor and interpret prevailing and emerging regulations from CEA, CERC, SERCs, CTU, STUs, and SEBs.

•Evaluate the impact of new and proposed regulations on project execution, timelines, and delivery.

•Maintain a regulatory risk register and provide strategic input for project planning.

•100% regulatory compliance and zero error in regulations timeline. 

Interfacing & Communication

•Coordinate with CTU, STU, SLDC, and other relevant agencies for project approvals and scheduling.

•Understand the interface requirements of electrical communication systems with grid operators. 

Engineering & Technical Support

•Provide technical inputs during both the basic and detailed engineering phases, ensuring alignment with project requirements and establish training programs, connectivity protocols, and grid communication process controls to optimize FTC time.

•Evaluate grid protection schemes and contribute to the design and implementation of effective protection systems.

•Support the integration of SCADA, telemetry, and remote communication systems to enhance operational efficiency.

•Conduct technological reviews with wind turbine manufacturers to gather essential technical input for project development.

•Define the requirements and OEM modeling inputs necessary for compliance with grid studies and Identify improvements and address gaps related to grid commissioning and compliance issues to ensure successful project execution.    

Project Execution & Documentation 

•Ensure compliance with all connectivity and grid integration norms for renewable and non-renewable power plants (wind, solar, hybrid, BESS).

•Prepare and upload connectivity application documents to designated CTU/STU portals and stay in contact with regulatory authorities for query resolution and submission of clarifications. 

Trend Analysis & Advisory

•Stay updated with regulatory changes, draft policies, public consultations and industry developments.

•Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing on regulatory trends and their engineering implications.
