Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced BIS Expert to manage and execute certification and compliance activities under various Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) schemes—ISI, CRS, FMCS, Hallmarking, and Eco Mark.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks for exports and imports, UAE product standards (ESMA), and US FDA requirements, ensuring global compliance for Indian and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end BIS certification for Indian and foreign manufacturers (ISI, CRS, FMCS schemes).
  • Knowledge about CE marking as per EU MDD.
  • Conduct product classification and identify applicable IS standards and testing requirements.
  • Liaise with BIS laboratories, foreign manufacturers, and Indian representatives for testing and registration.
  • Handle import/export compliance, including coordination with DGFT, Customs, and port authorities.
  • Advise clients on UAE regulatory frameworks (e.g., ESMA, EQM, ECAS) and their interrelation with Indian standards.
  • Support US FDA registration processes for applicable products and coordinate with international testing agencies.
  • Develop compliance documentation—test reports, manuals, applications, and technical files.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for client consulting, training, and regulatory updates.
  • Represent ELT Corporate in industry forums, training sessions, and international projects.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Regulatory Affairs.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in BIS certification or related regulatory fields.
  • Strong understanding of BIS Rules 2018, Indian Standards, and testing protocols.
  • Exposure to international compliance standards – US FDA, EU CE Marking, UAE ESMA.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Zoho CRM, and regulatory portals preferred.
