A Machine Shop Line Inspector ensures that every machined part produced on the shop floor meets dimensional accuracy, quality standards, and customer requirements. They act as the first checkpoint for quality before parts move to the next stage or final dispatch.

  • In-Process Inspection
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined components.
  • Verify that machining dimensions meet engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality standards.
  • Monitor critical-to-quality (CTQ) features during production runs.
  • Measurement & Verification
  • Use precision measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge, CMM, etc.).
  • Maintain calibration and proper handling of inspection tools.
  • Record accurate measurements and inspection results.
  • Quality Assurance Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to ISO / IATF / customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Identify non-conformances and segregate rejected parts.
  • Prepare NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and coordinate corrective actions with production.
  • Process Monitoring
  • Verify machine setup and cutting tool condition for consistent quality.
  • Safety & Housekeeping
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during inspection and handling.
  • Maintain clean inspection stations and proper organization of gauges.
  • Team Coordination
  • Work closely with machine operators, setters, and quality engineers.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Provide feedback to operators to reduce rework and scrap.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
