[Job Title]: Final Quality Inspector (EXPERIENCE IN SG & GERY IRON Foundry Experience)

Impel Ferrocast is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Final Quality Inspector with expertise in Cast Iron (CI) and Spheroidal Graphite (SG) foundry operations to join our team. The Final Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of finished castings through meticulous inspection and adherence to quality standards.

*Responsibilities:*

1. *Final Inspection:* Conduct comprehensive visual and dimensional inspections of finished castings to verify conformance to customer specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

2. *Quality Control:* Perform in-depth inspections using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to assess critical dimensions, surface finishes, and tolerances.

3. *Metallurgical Inspection:* Utilize metallographic techniques to assess the microstructure and integrity of castings, including identifying defects such as porosity, shrinkage, and inclusions.

4. *Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):* Conduct NDT methods, including magnetic particle testing (MT) and liquid penetrant testing (PT), to detect surface and subsurface defects in castings.

5. *Documentation and Reporting:* Document inspection results, observations, and findings accurately and thoroughly. Prepare detailed inspection reports and communicate any deviations or non-conformities to relevant stakeholders.

6. *Root Cause Analysis:* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

7. *Quality Assurance:* Ensure compliance with quality management systems and procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of quality control processes.

8. *Safety and Compliance:* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry standards.

*Requirements:*

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality inspection is preferred.

2. Proven experience working as a quality inspector in a foundry environment, with expertise in Cast Iron (CI) and Spheroidal Graphite (SG) materials.

3. Strong understanding of casting processes, including molding, pouring, and finishing.

4. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and interpreting specifications.

5. Experience with precision measuring instruments and metrology techniques.

6. Knowledge of metallurgical inspection methods and NDT techniques.

7. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and interpret visual and dimensional defects.

8. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

10. Familiarity with quality management systems and quality assurance principles.
