Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our vibrant team in Bangalore. This full-time role requires overseeing engineering initiatives and driving innovation in line with Jios strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and leadership skills, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Significant experience as a data engineer with expertise in managing and analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights (Mandatory skill).
  • Proficiency in Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications (Mandatory skill).
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, showcasing the ability to manage and deploy scalable infrastructure (Mandatory skill).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, capable of guiding and empowering engineering teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strong technical acumen, with a deep understanding of current engineering practices and technologies.
  • Proven track record of successful team building and talent management, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with Azure, involving cloud services and solutions within an enterprise context.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating clear and effective collaboration across different departments and stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing technical direction and mentorship to achieve project objectives.
  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance systems aligned with business goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering documentation, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion of projects.
  • Identify and address engineering challenges, finding innovative solutions to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making in relation to technological advancements and industry trends.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging creativity and innovation within the engineering team.
