What will you be responsible for?

You will be responsible for the overall administration, performance tuning, and security of our database systems. You will work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure data availability, consistency, and integrity across environments. You will also proactively monitor and improve database systems to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

What do we require?

  • Proven experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems – primarily MongoDB
  • Hands-on experience managing production systems — candidates must have maintained large-scale, high-availability production environments
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, backup and recovery strategies, replication, and failover techniques
  • Demonstrated expertise in database performance tuning and optimization
  • Ability to manage and monitor large-scale production databases
  • Strong knowledge in database security, role management, and access control
  • Experience with data migration, upgrades, and schema management
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
  • Ability to document database architecture, maintenance procedures, and operational best practices
  • Experience in working closely with application developers to design and optimize queries and schema

Technology Essentials:

  • MongoDB – hands-on experience is mandatory
  • Kubernetes and AWS – must-have skills for deployment and orchestration
  • SQL databases– Good to have
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
