Our Corporate Functions team spans diverse areas like finance, risk, human resources, and marketing, playing a crucial role in setting up our businesses, clients, and employees for success. The Global Finance & Business Management team strategically manages capital, promotes growth, and maintains financial reporting, ensuring the company thrives in all market conditions. The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team oversees U.S. and international regulatory reporting, including regions in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the United Kingdom, and Latin America. FRRA also leads strategic initiatives in external reporting, focusing on accountability and quality assurance. The Data Controllers and Reporting (DCR) team within FRRA provides a centralized data repository, enhancing efficiency and data access, and supports seamless regulatory reporting processes.
Job Summary
As a Global Finance and Business Manager within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team, you will apply your expertise in product, industry, and market knowledge to consolidate, review, and analyze financial data. You will coordinate data collection and business results, communicate financial information, and ensure accurate data submission to regulators. You will also participate in continuous improvement efforts and establish relationships with business lines and regulatory agencies.
Job responsibilities
- Apply up-to-date product/industry/market knowledge in specialty areas of reporting
- Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial data for accuracy and completeness; perform quarter-over-quarter variance analytics
- Coordinate data collection and quarterly business results with various lines of business, Regulatory Controllers and reporting teams
- Assist in the thorough assessment of the issues and outcomes
- Clearly communicate financial information to the lines of businesses, and flag potential issues
- Participate in various aspects for the production, review and filing of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for various regulatory agencies that are used by the regulators for compiling widely-used statistics on the levels of, and changes in, domestic and international portfolio positions
- Adhere to proof & control procedures to ensure accurate reconciliation between regulatory filings,
- Adhere to various control procedures and edit checks to ensure the integrity of reported financial results
- Ensure accurate and complete data submission to the Regulators
- Interpret and define regulatory requirements and coordinate internal and external policies
- Establish and manage relationships with the line of business as well as with external regulatory agency constituents through ongoing partnership and dialogue
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 2+ years in a Finance organization with exposure to accounting, financial statements, and/or regulatory reporting
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in Product Control, Financial Control or knowledge Reg reporting
- Strong skills in time management, problem solving, written and oral communication
- Team player, with ability to work effectively across diverse functions, locations and businesses
- Excellent Excel and computer skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Project management experience/skills
