About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to handle dental insurance eligibility verification, benefits breakdown, and data entry into practice management software. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate clearly, work with accuracy, and manage day-to-day administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify patients' dental insurance eligibility through web portals.
  • Collect and record detailed benefits breakdown, including coverage %, frequencies, waiting periods, annual maximums, deductibles, and limitations.
  • Update trackers regularly (status, follow-ups, missing info, insurance responses).
  • Check for patient add-ons.
  • Upload insurance breakdowns, documents to designated folders/PMS.
  • Extract and enter benefits accurately from insurance web portals (such as Aetna, MetLife, Cigna, etc.).
  • Update coverage tables and plan details in the PMS.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in PMS (Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, etc.).
  • Identify missing documentation and follow up internally.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members regarding benefit clarifications.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Required Skills
  • Prior experience in dental insurance verification preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (not mandatory).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of healthcare/dental insurance experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
