Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Transaction Entry: Entering financial transactions into accounting software (like Tally or ERP systems).
  • Bookkeeping: Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts.
  • Payroll Processing: Assisting with the calculation and processing of employee salaries and wages.
  • Tax Compliance: Assisting with tax filings, including GST and TDS.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintaining and updating the general ledger.
  • Auditing Support: Assisting with both internal and external audits.
  • MIS Reporting: Preparing various management information system (MIS) reports, such as daily account balances and monthly receivable/payable statements.

Required Skills:

  • Accounting Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software like Tally, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
  • Data Entry and Bookkeeping Skills: Accuracy and attention to detail in recording financial transactions.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and potentially clients.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel (including functions like VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in handling financial data and ensuring accuracy.
