Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Optical Sales Representative to join our Eye Care Hospital team. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling a range of optical products, such as eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision-related accessories, to patients and customers. You will work closely with our ophthalmologists and optometrists to ensure that patients receive personalized care and expert guidance in choosing the right optical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Promotion:

Actively promote and sell eyeglasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, and other optical products.

Provide expert advice and recommendations based on patients' vision prescriptions and needs.

Educate patients about the benefits of various optical products, including lenses, coatings, and frames.

Customer Service:

Offer exceptional customer service by helping patients select appropriate eyewear that fits their prescription, style, and budget.

Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.

Assist patients in adjusting and fitting eyeglasses for comfort and proper alignment.

Product Knowledge & Inventory Management:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest optical products and technologies.

Ensure that the optical inventory is well-stocked, organized, and displays the latest styles and products.

Assist in monitoring stock levels and report to the manager for replenishments.

Collaboration with Eye Care Professionals:

Work alongside ophthalmologists and optometrists to understand patient needs and assist in recommending appropriate eyewear solutions.

Ensure that prescriptions provided by optometrists and ophthalmologists are accurately followed when assisting patients with eyewear selection.

Sales Reporting & Targets:

Meet sales targets and assist in driving revenue growth for the optical department.

Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and patient interactions.

Assist in preparing sales reports and tracking performance against targets.

Patient Education:

Provide clear instructions to patients regarding the care and maintenance of their optical products.

Explain the different types of lenses (e.g., bifocal, progressive, single vision) and their benefits.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualification:

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: B.Com, B.Sc, or any other relevant qualification in healthcare, optics, or retail sales.

Certification or training in optical products or eyewear (e.g., opticianry certification) is a plus.

Experience:

Prior experience in retail sales or customer service, particularly in an optical or healthcare setting, is a plus.
