Key Responsibilities
System Administration :

  • Manage and maintain servers, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, ESXi).
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including bare metal servers (HP ProLiant Series).

Firewall And Network Management

  • Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls (Fortinet and Sonicwall).
  • Implement and maintain network security policies, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.

Virtualization And Cloud

  • Administer VMware environments, including vCenter, vMotion, and HA configurations.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments and integrate on-premise systems with cloud platforms.

Bare Metal Server Management

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues on HP ProLiant Series servers.
  • Perform firmware updates, RAID configurations, and hardware replacements.
  • Ensure optimal performance and reliability of bare metal servers.

Security And Compliance

  • Ensure systems comply with security standards (e.g, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Collaboration And Support

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
