Key Responsibilities

Trader-Centric Design:

Partner directly with traders to observe workflows, identify pain points, and gather requirements. Rapidly prototype and iterate on UI/UX solutions to address trader needs for speed, clarity, and efficiency.

Translate complex trading concepts (e.g., order execution, risk management, market data visualization) into user-friendly interfaces.

UI Development & Implementation:

Develop responsive, high-fidelity interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).

Ensure UI components are optimized for low latency and real-time data updates (e.g., tick charts, order books).

Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs, data feeds, and trading logic into the front end.

UX Research & Testing: Conduct user testing sessions with traders to validate designs and gather feedback. Analyze usage data and trader behavior to refine interfaces and improve usability.

Advocate for UX best practices while balancing technical constraints and trading domain requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience: 8+ years of UX/UI development experience, specifically in building trading applications (e.g., platforms for equities, forex, derivatives, or crypto).

Proven track record of collaborating directly with traders to understand and address their needs. Portfolio showcasing trading interfaces (e.g., dashboards, order tickets, charting tools, risk monitors).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React preferred). Experience with real-time data visualization libraries (e.g., , Highcharts, TradingView).

Familiarity with low-latency UI optimization techniques and WebSocket implementations.

Domain Knowledge: Strong grasp of trading workflows (e.g., order management, execution, P&L tracking, market analysis). Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trader terminology (e.g., spreads, slippage, algos).

Soft Skills: Rapid problem-solving: Ability to quickly diagnose trader pain points and propose actionable solutions. Excellent communication skills to liaise between non-technical traders and engineering teams. Detail-oriented with a focus on usability, performance, and visual consistency.
