This role ensures accurate, compliant, and coordinated drawing sets while interacting with a team of design professionals and maintaining project documentation standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & ManagementLead and mentor a team of drafters, designers, and documentation specialistsAssign project responsibilities and monitor team performanceConduct regular team meetings and performance reviewsFoster professional development and training initiativesDesign Documentation ManagementUndertake and oversee production of architectural, engineering, and construction drawingsEnsure all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirementsCoordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants for integrated design documentationManage drawing and other document revisions, version control, and distribution processes for multiple sites/facilitiesQuality Assurance & StandardsEstablish and maintain CAD/BIM standards and templatesReview and approve all design drawings before releaseConduct quality checks for accuracy, completeness, and complianceImplement continuous improvement processes for documentation workflowsProject CoordinationCollaborate with project managers, design teams, and external consultantsParticipate in design reviews and coordination meetingsEnsure timely delivery of drawing packages per project schedulesManage drawing submittals and approval processesTechnology & Systems ManagementOversee CAD/BIM software implementation and maintenanceStay current with industry technology trends and software updatesManage document management systems and digital filing protocolsEvaluate and recommend new design tools and technologiesRequired QualificationsEducation & CertificationBachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldProfessional certification (AIA, PE, or equivalent) preferredAdvanced knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)Experience5-7 years of experience in design documentation and drawing production2-3 years of management or supervisory experienceExperience with large-scale commercial real estate projectsKnowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standardsTechnical SkillsProficiency in CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, etc.)Knowledge of document management systemsUnderstanding of construction methods and materialsFamiliarity with project management softwareCore CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and quality controlEffective communication and coordination skillsProblem-solving and critical thinking capabilitiesTime management and multi-project coordinationPreferred QualificationsLEED certification or sustainability design knowledgeExperience with cloud-based collaboration platformsPrevious experience in commercial real estate or corporate facilitiesAdvanced degree in related fieldWorking ConditionsOffice-based position with occasional site visitsStandard business hours with flexibility for project deadlinesCollaboration with cross-functional teams and external partnersThis role is ideal for experienced design professionals looking to advance into management while maintaining hands-on involvement in design documentation and quality assurance.Location: On-site –Mumbai, MHScheduled Weekly Hours:48If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements.  We're interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the tableJLL Privacy NoticeJones Lang LaSalle (JLL), together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services.
