BaseThesis is an AI lab and incubator focused on solving hard, meaningful problems through deep research, rapid prototyping, and unconventional thinking. We run a problem-first incubation model with a small, high-context cohort, paired with an in-house team pushing the boundaries of AI and human–machine interaction. If it's technically hairy, creatively ambitious, or feels impossible, that's exactly what we want to explore.

BaseThesis is founded by operators and engineers who've built and scaled real businesses: Ashok, who cofounded DriveU and scaled it to ₹125 crore ARR and profitability; Raveen, cofounder of Myntra, Baby Oye and Multiply Ventures; and Sarthak, an engineer from IIT-M, BITS-P and researcher across frontier AI systems. Together, they're building a space for curious, driven people who want to push limits instead of following play books.

About the Role

We're looking for a Community Manager who can turn BaseThesis into a vibrant hub for builders, researchers, and partners. You'll shape how our community experiences BaseThesis through events, collaborations, storytelling, and online presence.

This is a hands-on, creative, and organizational role that sits at the intersection of marketing, partnerships, and culture building.

What You'll Do

  • Design and manage our community calendar across events, talks, workshops, and demo days
  • Lead community partnerships with universities, accelerators, and AI or design ecosystems
  • Build and manage our social presence (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram) with a tone and cadence that reflect our brand
  • Work with the founders and lab team to tell stories from inside the lab: projects, people, prototypes
  • Coordinate logistics for guest sessions, hackathons, and visiting fellows
  • Track engagement, growth, and partnership outcomes, and continuously iterate

Ideal Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in community, marketing, design, partnerships, or communications, ideally in a startup, accelerator, or tech org
  • Strong sense of storytelling and brand voice, with an understanding of what makes an online presence stand out
  • Confident using tools like Notion, Luma, Figma, and social media scheduling platforms
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • Excited by AI, design, and the broader builder ecosystem

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Psychology, or a related field is preferred
  • Candidates from non-traditional backgrounds (startup operations, creator economy, self-taught community builders) are equally welcome
  • Bonus points for coursework or side projects in tech, AI, or digital culture

Good to Have

  • Experience running events or programs for tech or startup communities
  • Familiarity with AI or product ecosystems
  • Skills in design, video editing, or content creation
