Job Title: Automation QA Engineer

Location: Remote

Budget: 18 LPA

Shift: 2 PM to 11 PM IST

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile professional with expertise in Automation Testing, experience in the Securities / Capital Markets / Wealth Management domain, and the capability to gradually take on Business Analyst and Product Owner responsibilities. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality product delivery while actively engaging with users to gather inputs, define requirements, and prioritize features for development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems in Securities / Capital Markets applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to understand business requirements and validate features.
  • Gather and analyze user inputs, translating them into functional requirements and testable specifications.
  • Act as a Product Owner for assigned modules, defining feature priorities, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate discussions between business users and development teams to ensure alignment on requirements.
  • Ensure test coverage and traceability against business and technical requirements.
  • Identify, log, and track defects through their lifecycle, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a robust CI/CD test automation framework.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4-7 years of experience in Automation Testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
  • Proven experience in the Securities / Capital Markets / Wealth Management domain.
  • Solid understanding of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working directly with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize features and define acceptance criteria as a Product Owner.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to performance and security testing in financial systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SQL, scripting (Java, Python, Shell).
  • Experience in requirement gathering and business process analysis.
