Key responsibilities/Duties:

  • Working closely with Project Managers and discipline Team Leaders 
  • Preparation of detailed design reports/specifications/component datasheets
  • Engineering calculations
  • Production of engineering reports, calculations, drawings etc.
  • Supporting the Engineering Team to move to BIM delivery for all projects
  • Liaison with other engineering disciplines
  • Adapt to the growing use of multi-disciplinary CAD systems (2D and 3D as appropriate)
  • To ensure that the design delivery is matched to the project programme and every effort 
    is assured to ensure delivery on time
  • To explore opportunities for out-performance from technical innovation
  • Be responsible for maintaining your own quality and consistency of all engineering 
    technical documents
  • Work with the relevant Senior Engineer/Peers and/or the Discipline Head to ensure that 
    all technical deliverables are properly checked & approved. 

Candidate Specification :

  • Graduate mechanical engineer, with up to 2 years of relevant experience, within the 
    Water/Wastewater industry
  • B.E/ M.E in Mechanical discipline.
  • Understanding of engineering conceptual design and detailed design
  • Familiarity with BIM delivery is desirable.
  • Have a zeal for innovation to try new approaches to drive efficiencies and quality 
    consistency.
  • Ability to work in an open and collaborative environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, & Design software desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience in Pipe layout, piping support (including calculations), pipe material selection, 
    pipe sizing, line sizing, isometric preparation would be desirable.
