Senior Analyst

Roles & responsibilities 
We are recruiting for a Senior Analyst to support for the tax affairs of the KPMG UK group. The role will involve working predominantly with members of the internal tax team and some work with the finance team and wider parts of the firm..
Summary Preparation for Tax Filing:
Analyse business travel and prepare summaries for various countries to support overseas tax filing and reporting requirements.
Tools and Data Extraction:
Utilise MS Excel and Alteryx.
Extract data from KPMG systems, including timesheet data, S4HANA, Concur, etc.
Data Verification:
Contact travellers to confirm the accuracy of travel data.
Reporting and Communication:
Report analysis and findings to team members within specified timescales.
Tax Advisory Support:
Risk Process Advice: Assist in advising teams on the tax implications of overseas work through the firm's risk process.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ad Hoc Tasks and Projects: Engage in other ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

Information Handling: Quickly extract, assimilate, and analyse information with accuracy.
Excel Proficiency: Exhibit strong knowledge and skills in Microsoft Excel.
Attention to Detail: Handle detailed tasks with an investigative approach to ensure accuracy.
Confidentiality: Always maintain respect for confidential information.
Self-Motivation: Be a self-starter with good organisational skills,  recognising when to seek advice.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment, communicating well with peers, and senior and junior team members.
Tax Understanding: No prior tax experience is required. Aspire to develop a comprehension of tax treatment for specific items.

Preferred technical & functional skills 
Excellent Communication Skills
Understanding of Financial Reporting & analysis
Over 2 years relevant experience of data analysis in an operational or professional services environment
Strong proficiency in MS Excel, VBA, Power Query, Alteryx
Knowledge of Data Analytics tools
