Job Summary

As the AGM/GM/Sr GM/AVP – Operations & Growth at Work Square, you will lead our operations team, overseeing the delivery of high-quality managed office spaces. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in soft services, technical operations, and project management. The GM - Operations will ensure seamless operations, exceptional client service, and efficient project execution across our office locations in India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Soft Services Management:

  • Oversee the delivery of soft services, including housekeeping, security, front office, and hospitality.

  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for client-facing and back-of-house services.

  • Ensure exceptional cleanliness, safety, and comfort for clients and their employees.

  • Technical Operations:

  • Manage the technical operations for Work Square offices, covering HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility systems.

  • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure uninterrupted office operations.

  • Work closely with technical vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards and minimize downtime.

  • Project Management:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for new office setup, renovation, or expansion projects.

  • Collaborate with design and build teams to deliver tailor-made office spaces on schedule and within budget.

  • Monitor project milestones, conduct quality checks, and ensure adherence to client specifications and WorkSquare standards.

  • Client Relationship and Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and addressing their operational needs.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and service providers.

  • Regularly assess and act on client feedback to improve services continuously.

  • Operational Efficiency and Excellence:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to optimize resource utilization, cost management, and service delivery.

  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for the operations department.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and client-centricity.

  • Implement training and development programs to enhance team skills in soft services, technical operations, and project management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

  • Experience: 10+ years in operations management with a strong track record in soft services, technical operations, and project management.

  • Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects and operations.

  • Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to managing challenges.

  • Leadership skills with experience in team management and development.

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with industry-standard software for facilities and project management; proficiency in MS Office.
